Happy Holidays!
Just a quick note to wish everyone a happy holiday and a great new year!
I’ve been pretty busy over the past few months, so haven’t had a chance to write many articles recently, but do have some plans for new site features in the new year. With any luck I should be able to get the work completed during the holidays.
I hope 2012 has been good to you all and 2013 will be even better!
Does anyone have any interesting resolutions planned for 2013?
Scott
How to Utilize Social Media Networking to Find your Next Job
There are so many tools that can be used in a job search today. One of the most useful right now is the use of digital networking, which can greatly supplement traditional networking methods. Various social media tools can be used to increase your reach, which provides you with a large network of professional associates to pass your resume to their own contacts. Digital networking, when used in addition to face-to-face methods, may just be what allows you to get your resume seen by someone otherwise untouchable.
Employee Rights and Workplace Discrimination
Not all workplace discrimination is created equal – discrimination can be lawful or unlawful. Workplace discrimination is lawful when workers are recruited, compensated, trained, promoted and terminated solely on the basis of their skills, abilities and performance.

The JobseekersAdvice.com Facebook page
So not only did the site get a facelift recently, but I’ve setup a Facebook page which you can find here – hope you’ll like it for us! Help start off the page by answering our first Facebook question – more money or work less time?
The plan just now is to use it for general career advice related discussions and news, but if you have any suggestions as to what should be include, feel free to leave a comment here.
Thanks,
Scott
New website launched today – what do you think?
After many, many years of a frankly, sub-par website I’ve gotten round to redesigning the site – so what do you think? It’s still a bit of a work in progress in many ways, but getting there!
