Eurozone unemployment rate increases throughout February
The BBC is reporting today that unemployment amongst countries which use the Euro increase throughout February, to 10.8% – a high figure if you consider that many countries in the Euro Zone are much higher than this, with Spain up at 23.6%.
Greg Smith’s Open Resignation Letter to Goldman Sachs

UK unemployment increases to 2.685m
The BBC are reporting today that unemployment levels in the UK have increase by 118,000 in 3 months to 2.685 million people.

Nick Clegg Plans More Employee Ownership

Increased rail fares will take 8% of employees’ salaries
An interesting post from HR Magazine on the impact of increased rail fares on your salary. How many employees take the time to think about the hidden costs associated with their jobs?
BBC Ridiculed Over 4,420 Different Job Titles
The Drum are reporting on a Daily Mail article that based on a freedom of information request, the BBC have revealed that the organisation has over 4,420 different job titles – of which 1,894 contain the word “Manager”! Well, I suppose promoting someone to a “managerial” position is easier than giving them a decent pay rise!
One in six UK homes “has no work”
The BBC are reporting that statistics now show that at least one home in six (which houses at least one person of employable age) does not have any employment. Stark figures, despite reassurances from around the world that the economic situation is improving.
